National Math Day

Every year, on December 22, India observes it’s National Mathematics Day in honour of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the self-taught mathematical genius from India who revolutionized the field with his extraordinary contributions to number theory, advances in the partition function, mastery of continued fractions, the Riemann series, elliptic integrals, hyper geometric series, and the functional equations of the zeta function. Ramanujan left behind a legacy that continues to amaze and inspire mathematicians till date.

To sustain that legacy and inspiration, we at Hindustan International School observe the day to make the Gen y realise the pertinence of the great mathematician.

Series of competitions, games, seminars and Math relays were conducted to make Math an enjoyable subject and not an abhorred one. They were made to realise the presence of Math all around and make the subject a sought after one.
